5 FALL TRENDS I APPROVE OF

Now that I’m out of the Valley and not sweating my ass off every second, I can actually think about fall fashion. Obviously I’m still in crop tops and biker shorts for the most part in San Diego, but at least it’s cool enough to throw on a fall outfit at night. And the new weather is my excuse for *needing* a fall wardrobe, right? Sorry Paul!

Here are 5 fall trends I approve of, all from Shopbop.

+ SHERPA

We’re seeing sherpa everywhere right now, from bucket hats to bags to shoes, but my personal favorite is either mixed into a denim jacket or in a cropped jacket / pullover situation. Obsessed with this Sherpa Half-Zip Pullover that’s equal parts sporty and trendy. Also, are we into this Zebra Jacket?!

+ LEATHER TROUSERS

I’m very into the (usually faux) leather trousers look. They add an edge to an outfit while still allowing for a cute date night top or something that feels feminine. I always like that combo. This pair of Cropped Leather Trouser is under $100.

+ BROWNS

I’ve gravitated towards a lot of color this year (shocking, I know) and I’m also drawn to a new color for fall: brown. Brown nails, brown clothes, brown boots, I want it all.

+ TEXTURED CARDIGANS

First came dad sneakers and then came grandpa sweaters. And I’m not mad at it! I especially like options with texture or a fun print to make them feel less old man-ish and more fresh, like these:

+ MOTO BOOTS

This isn’t a new trend this season though it’s definitely one that’s bigger than ever, especially in cream and white. If you like something sleek, I recommend this pair, and if you want full-on 1990’s grunge, I like this chunky option. For the record, Western-inspired boots are another top trend for me and I can’t wait to wear these tall boots more!
