Beverly Hills Staycation

Last week I had a mini staycation with my best girls to celebrate my last few days before babygirl arrives. Kind of like a babymoon but with my girlfriends instead. You know, any reason to keep the celebration and vacation vibes going. It was the ultimate staycation, as it took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel (my favorite) and all of the activities revolved around us relaxing. At this point I have only enough energy to lay by a pool, eat, read, get a nice treatment, eat, and sleep. In that order (LOL!). Thankfully all the girls were on board with this plan (I sure know how to pick them)!

After a nice afternoon by the pool we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Polo Lounge, where we indulged in lobster truffle risotto, watermelon & burrata salad, fresh branzino, and a hot-out-of-the-oven chocolate souffle, which the hotel is famous for. The girls all had craft cocktails while I sipped on my uber-refreshing Italian water (hey, at least I’m staying hydrated, right?).

To conclude the night, we all cozied up in our fuzzy robes and slippers and gave each other face masks by Elemis. They recently released a range of skincare called the Peptide 24/7 and all the products are derived from flowers. I recently went to a dinner hosted by Elemis to learn all about the new collection and was really excited to try everything out with my sisters and girlfriends during our staycation. Not going to lie though, once I sampled the recovery night cream oil at the event I couldn’t stop using it. It’s lightweight, hydrating, and smells incredible (like a newborn baby!). The concept behind this range is to emulate the body’s inner clock to leave your skin looking renewed when it’s tired.

The cream to oil is my favorite product from the collection, but the 1000-flower mask is also incredibly unique. It goes on matte but doesn’t dry out your skin, which I find a lot of thicker clay masks do. You won’t see any product residue in fine lines with this mask. It just goes on extra smooth and comes off easily, leaving your skin revitalized and your pores a little smaller than when you started. Trust me on this, if you’re looking to invest in a good face mask, this one is it.

The following morning we all felt refreshed, well rested, and content with our glowing complexions. We had one last meal by the pool that obviously included the blueberry ricotta pancakes (if you don’t know you’re missing out!!!), and then we were on our way! It was the perfect little staycation for me to spend quality time with the girls, get in some relaxation, and take care of my skin. A big thank you to Elemis for hosting this slumber party, as it was an experience I will always remember!!
