Collagen Beauty Smoothie Bowl
One supplement I am very consistent about is collagen. Reason being, there are so many great products that offer versatility in the way I ingest it. That sounded kinda weird, yeah? But seriously, Vital Proteins is so innovative with their products that it makes taking your collagen pretty easy. You’ve now seen my post-workout protein whey collagen smoothie, the triple collagen smoothie, and now this yummy collagen beauty smoothie bowl.

I’m a big fan of masking the taste of “healthy.” It’s most likely just a mental thing, but I don’t die for the taste of any vitamin or mineral. There’s just something funky to me; and even though Vital Proteins does an incredible job with their flavors (think: coconut, chocolate, vanilla, mint, lavender, etc.), I’m just more likely to consume it if it’s masked among other yummy ingredients. Plus, a smoothie is a typical mid-day snack for me, so adding nutrients to it is basically killing two birds with one stone.

If you’re new to collagen, you can find a breakdown of what it does here, but in a nutshell, collagen is great for your skin, hair, nails, joints, and it promotes a healthy immune system among other things. The collagen beauty water is a new product that I’ve just recently started using but I’m already loving all the options because of it’s unique flavors. This recipe specifically is using the Melon Mint Collagen Beauty Water, but there is also Lavender Lemon, which is equally delicious. WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 serving Melon Mint Beauty Water
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tblspns coconut cream
  • 1 cup honeydew melon
  • 1/3 avocado
  • 2 tblspns honey
  • 1 1/2 tblspns fresh lemon
  • mint & chia seed (for garnish)

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Combine all ingredients (except mint & chia seeds) into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour your smoothie into a bowl (or coconut if you’re fun) and add the chia seeds and mint.
  2. Enjoy & get all the benefits of collagen!
