WITCHING SEASON

If I haven’t already made this clear, I’m totally obsessed with Halloween. Pumpkin spice, not so much. But all black clothing, witch covens, scary movies, American Horror Story (did anyone else go to Universal Horror Nights just to see the AHS maze??!!), yes, yes yes! I’m pretty sure it’s partly a nostalgic thing, but Halloween just invokes all sorts of fun feelings in me. It means cuddle weather, boots, scarves, fireplaces, Irish coffees…You didn’t actually think I was going to say hot chocolate, did you?

I’ve been holding on to this sheer overcoat (I think that’s what it’s called) for a few weeks now and I finally, finally, was able to bust it out this week, as temps are not in the triple digits (for now, at least) anymore. My point it, come October I get a little witchy–my style takes on a whole new persona of Stevie Nicks meets Emma Roberts via AHS (Coven season, of course) and I absolutely love it. It’s funny because all summer long I’m wearing nothing but floral, colorful rompers and sun-dresses just to be the complete opposite the following season. It suits me, though, I’m a total style chameleon as you know.

I’d like to say this is all you’ll be seeing from this point onward but we all know that’s not true. In typical California fashion, the weather will surely throw us a good 100ยบ day sometime soon (rolling my eyes, obvi). If you’re digging this look and don’t want to break the bank, I’ve partnered up with NA-KD to offer my readers a little discount to get a kick-start on your fall wardrobe.
