CLEAN SLATE

Last weekend I decided it was time to clean out my closet. I make a trip to the Goodwill pretty regularly (I hate clutter), but I’ve never really hauled a pile quite this big. I started small but each time I walked into my closet I would find myself skimming over pieces that, frankly, I’m never going to wear again. Small steps turned into big, massive, pulls and now my guest bed is covered in items. Seriously. I decided this fall I would shop for pieces I really love and will actually wear often. What ended up happening is I bought a whole lot of black and suede. You will be seeing lots of the same pieces re-purposed throughout the season, as I’m trying to be practical and true to what my style is during the colder months. That is, if we ever see the temperatures drop below 80!

Just to touch on this look, I own these jeans in black and white…I love them that much! This duster vest is just one of those pieces that makes you feel super chic no matter what. It may not work into winter since the sleevelessness is pretty pointless to keep warm, but it makes for a great layering piece. And lastly, the shoes. My favorite ever! They look great with a short skirt (coming later) or with jeans slightly cuffed. All my current favorite things in one look!
